Suspicions that some kind of covert online hackers franchise existed have been around for some time now, and these fears just grew stronger among internet security experts with the news that an amateur hacking tool by the name of Firesheep was downloaded by more than one hundred thousand wanna-be cyber criminals almost as soon as it hit the web. Designed to work with Firefox, Firesheep was developed in the US, ostensibly as a demonstration of how it easy it appears to be to compromise sensitive information in today's leading social media websites, with Facebook and Twitter being the best known. There are apparently quite a number of web sites situated in Eastern Europe who openly market hacking kits for would be online cyber-criminals. Hiding under the ruse of teaching computer buffs to understand the hacker's methods so that they can protect themselves, it is almost certain that the software on sale is being used to spark off the careers of a whole new generation of online criminals.

Information on a long list of hacking tools and techniques including malware development, credit card hacking as well as detailed instructions on how to attack up to 100,000 victims per day are available and costing just $100 a time, it must make for a tempting proposition for those who want to make a quick killing and have no ethics or are un-moved about breaking the law.

This kind of worrying information only goes to empasise how advanced the hacking industry has become and how important it is to find proper protection against their unrelenting attacks, that com at any time and from any direction.
